fetish911 Report post Posted October 13, 2012 MISS EMMA BENEDICT’S PARLOR HOUSE ATMOSPHERE SPRAYThe establishment at No. 84 W. Houston street is kept by Miss Emma Benedict. It is on the corner of Laurens street. It is a first class house with eight lady boarders. Everything here is arranged in the first style, while the bewitching smiles of the fairy-like creatures who devote themselves to the services of Cupid are unrivalled by any of the fine ladies who walk Broadway in silks and satins new.Lush ivy twining through bouquets of buxom roses, cheerful carnations, shy sweet pea, narcissus, and lacy ferns. This is sweet florals to the 10th degree. Carnation and rose are the front runners and what smells like maybe moss or something softly green underneath? Gosh this smells like something i have smelled before, i cant put my finger on it. I am not a floral person at all but this is actually really pretty. Its not at all funeral parlor-ish as I get from some carnation blends.
violetblue Report post Posted November 8, 2012 This is bright and gorgeous and just what I needed since most of my atmos except Snow White are of the dark/thick and resinous sort. This is light and just uplifting and pretty. So glad I had an angel to get me a bottle at NYCC.
deazinn Report post Posted December 29, 2012 I absolutely love this scent....and my husband hates it. It is a gorgeously lush medley of florals with a heavy rose hand. One spray lingers for hours in my room.....
distracts Report post Posted September 15, 2013 Rosy flowers! I use this A LOT. I kind of adore rose.
zankoku_zen Report post Posted September 6, 2015 Sweet pea, pink roses, touch of carnation and ferns. This is another summery rosy blend, but unlike Splendid Summer Days which is full on rose, this one is more of a soft pink rose mixed with sweet pea. Honestly, this is innocent and soft, and would be totally at home in a young girl's bedroom if you can ignore the source of inspiration being a "boarding house". elka_knits Report post Posted September 6, 2015 Wait! I haven't reviewed this. Color me gob smacked. I have a ton of this one. Well not literally. But I have finished 3 bottles and still have more tucked away. I spray it on my bedsheets. I know I have written that I spray my sheets with this in the mornings before making the bed and then smell sweet rosy happiness when I crawl into bed at night. I tried Cathouse as a GC sub but something made my skin itch when I used Cathouse. I love this one so much. It is not an in your face rose. No thorns or greenery that I can detect. Soft and pretty tea roses. Nothing sharp or bitter to tickle your brain when trying to sleep. Just soft billows of prettiness. I am addicted to this
