BPAL Madness!

Salt, seaweed, and white mint with a hint of star anise, birchbark, and lemon peel.

ok, I've never done this before...so be gentle..

This is beautiful in its quiet oddness. At first sniff I said out loud "how strange" because I couldn't help myself, but it is a wonderful strange. It smells exactly like a wet sea breeze here on the East Coast. Not warm and tropical, but like wet rocks and seaweed. My aunt was with me and she commented that it smelled lemony to her, but I barely get the lemon. I get more salt/seaweed and sweet anise and mint. It is light, delicate and beautiful. So glad I picked it up. It's not fishy at all. ;)

Salty seaweed aquatic. Actually it sort of smells like cool cucumbers with hints of lemon and anise.

It's interesting. Very summery cool.

I generally like aquatics, so i was super excited for this one.

Unfortunately, I'm not getting any of the mint, anise, birchbark, or lemon - just salt and seaweed. It's somewhat harsh, and sometimes ozone-y, and doesn't seem to either morph much or gentle out.

I'll need to get a second opinion, I think - I've recently discovered that my nose apparently can't pick up citrus on my skin. Even though I can smell it in the bottle, and even when other people can sniff me and smell lemon or orange or whatever, I get no hint of it. So it's possible that this is doing more that I just am not picking up on. So far, though, it seems like a bust.

*Sigh* Most bpal aquatics smell the same to me, or very similar. This one has something a bit sweet in there as it dries, like cookies and a touch of mint. So salty water and cookies. Definitely not my cuppa.
