LiberAmoris Report post Posted November 5, 2015 Belgian chocolate filled with pumpkin butter. Chocolate. Pumpkin. The chocolate here smells fine and almost dusty (in a good way), like powdered cocoa. The pumpkin is subtler than I thought it might be, adding some richness and texture and depth. The result smells something like a super complex and fancy hot cocoa. When I was testing this the other day, my husband told me I smelled like Mayan chocolate, and I can see how it comes across that way. This is a lovely chocolatey bath oil and might just distract me slightly from my lifelong dream of the Post releasing a Bliss hair gloss.
Allumina Report post Posted November 26, 2015 I got a mini decant of this knowing that bpal chocolate rarely, if ever works on my skin. Wet, it was all chocolate, but after rubbing it in I get a really lovely, slightly sweet and delicious pumpkin drifting in. I'm not sure if this is a different pumpkin note or just how it's blending with the chocolate, but it does, to steal LiberAmoris's words, smell very complex and fancy. While Pumpkin Cheesecake Cupcake BO is in your face, CAKE! (not a bad thing!) this is more of a gourmand, foody but elegant scent. The chocolate does end up going a little plastic-y, but that is my skin chemistry, not the oil.
Poenari Report post Posted November 28, 2015 I got a mini decant of this because I love all of the pumpkin things and needed to at least try this, but my husband hates chocolate scents and I use all of my bath oils as moisturizers, so there's no sneaking them past him, I gave up trying after he complained about Pumpkin S'mores bath oil and my beloved Red Velvet Truffle. On my hands, this is all chocolate at first, so that seals it for me not buying a bottle. . Bliss is the only chocolate scent that was too cloying even for me, and I had to wash it off. So I was a bit worried at first that this might be the same kind of chocolate. Fortunately, this is more like cocoa and the pumpkin kicks into the blend very quickly. This is pumpkin hot cocoa, not a heavily pumpkin spiced drink, but cocoa with a hint of pumpkin. I like this a lot. Curse you, husband's nose.
zankoku_zen Report post Posted December 4, 2015 Loads more milk chocolate than the perfume. Less pumpkin. Mainly milk chocolate/cocoa powder and a touch of pumpkin.
