Ina Garten Davita Report post Posted August 20, 2016 Peach sugar and a drop of lemon. The first Dragon*Con Peach that has me smitten! My skin does bad things to peach notes. Bad, musty things. But this is a revelation. It's sweet and candied, sparkling and lovely. The lemon top note is candied yet tart, fades quickly and leaves this candied, pinky-peach jelly candy fragrance. I can't wait to enjoy more of this beauty! It reminds me of a perfect BPAL version of those Fresh Sugar/ Aquolina type scents. Only better, of course. (Bether!) SophieCedar Report post Posted September 11, 2016 Ooh! Pink sugar! The lemon is sweet and purely juicy, no pulp or rind. The sugar is giving it a musky feel, like Sugar Skulls or Golletes. Peach is kinda unusual: sweet/slightly strawberry shortcake doll synthetic, fun/playful. Drydown gets even muskier! Wow! Reminds me slightly of Tokyo Milk's Kabuki. YUM. Sexy, young, playful, lolita-ish. Makes me wanna live in a dollhouse covered in pinafores, frilly wrist-length lace gloves, and petticoats. Excellent! VioletChaos Report post Posted September 12, 2016 In The Bottle: I get sugared pink grapefruit! It's juicy and yummy and has a nice citrus bite to it. Wet On Skin: It has a bit of the sweet-fruit-cereal vibe that I got from Cheshire Moon, but it's not so overtly Froot Loops as that one was. It *is* kissing cousins, though! Dry Down: Yep, the Strawberry Shortcake doll comparison is an apt one, though without the weird plastic undercurrent that those dolls had. It's very playful and child-like, less like Ouija Yes or Faith or Hope in terms of being "sugared" and more like a cross between Pink Moon and Cheshire Moon. puck_nc Report post Posted September 13, 2016 Origin: A wonderful fairy helped me with Dragon*Con. Initial Thoughts: This was the only 2016 Peach that didn't have a deal-breaker note, and I hesitated, but since the very kind fairy was getting me lovely claw polishes, I decided to try it. In the Bottle: Very peach, very lemon, and very, very candy-like. Bright and girly. Wet: Very, very lemon candy. It skates toward, but never crosses into Lemon Pledge territory. Drydown: The lemon calms down and lets the peach emerge again, but it is still old-fashioned-candy-shop-with-fruit-drops all over the place. Verdict: It is a beautiful, light and fizzy scent. I'm not 100% sure it's me. I'm going to play with it a little and see what happens.
lucycat Report post Posted September 13, 2016 In the bottle, this is supersweet peach. It’s peach candy, compared to some of the more natural-smelling Peach Pit blends from earlier years. I had to try this, even though my skin often amps sugar scents. When Peach VII is applied, there’s a moment of almost-bitterness, from the lemon or possibly peach skin, and then the lemon comes forward. It balances the sweetness of the peach sugar perfectly, just the way a squirt of lemon juice counteracts too much sweetness in cooking. I love peach; I love lemon. This is perfect. I really like the Lab’s sugar and candy blends lately. Peach VII is cheerful and happy. I think it would be appropriate for a young girl, but at the same time, I don’t feel as if I’m wearing a kid’s perfume. Very glad I got a bottle of this: Thank you, DragonCon fairy! Little Bird Report post Posted April 27, 2017 First on, this reminds me of lemony iced tea with a good dose of sugary peach syrup to sweeten it. As it dries down, it's less fresh/tea-like and more lemonheads candy and sugar-crusted, peach flavored gummis. Candied, bright, sweet, and cheerful. I like this layered with vanilla fragrances.
