zankoku_zen Report post Posted November 2, 2016 [No additional description provided.] Again, thank you to a super generous BPALer who let me test these from her bottle. You're amazing, and thank you! So, PSA starts off with all of the glorious pumpkin spice you can want. Clove, allspice, and a touch of cinnamon, and then the absinthe starts to peep out. The spice recedes, and I would put it more as a spicy absinthe, in which I get lemon and mint top notes, followed by hyssop, anise, and allspice. It's actually a strange mashup that I do like. I would call this smoothly blended. Medium throw, great wear length. So if you like spicy and/or herbal blends, give Pumpkin Spice Absinthe a whirl. It's strangely fall like, and yet green at the same time.
Numanoid Report post Posted January 14, 2017 Got this in a swap...surprised there aren't more reviews!! So, I tend to love anything pumpkin...wasn't sure about absinthe, but here goes nothing! In the bottle - Smells lovely. There is that yummy Lab pumpkin spice scent.... there is something lurking in it... the green fairy? On skin - At the first quick sniff, it *almost* smells like Snakes in the Pumpkin Patch. but only for a brief second. The absinthe comes out right away for me. The pumpkin is there, but the licorice/absinthe note is starting to take over... in a strong way. Dry down - Hmm....not sure this is for me. If the pumpkin was more prominent, I might like this, but it isn't there enough for my liking. There is something a hair masculine about this.... oh well.... sadly not for me. Off to swaps! clockworkcrypt Report post Posted September 13, 2018 Hnnnnnngh, This is SO GOOD. It starts out with a lovely buttery caramel pumpkin, with warm spices making it a very sweet pumpkin note. This dies to the back and blends perfectly with the absinthe, giving it a sweeter fall tinged absinthe, and complementing each other perfectly. I don't even have words but this is so good on my skin, and lasts a decent amount. The initial pumpkin is very strong but do not be afraid to slather, the absinthe ending is much subtler, and all in all makes a sweet and intriguing scent. Failmingo Report post Posted June 7, 2019 Not really a review, but I love this scent so much, and seeing the reviews from OTHER people who love it make me so happy. The humor of the IDEA of the scent was such an initial draw, I loved the concept of desecrating the mystique of absinthe with something so warm and cheerful and MAINSTREAM. The joke's on me -- it's the best of all these worlds, just like Halloween itself! And it makes me think about the traditions that go along with absinthe and with preparing and seasoning pies in the fall, and how these relatively simple herbs and spices manage to connect us to the past and evoke certain feelings, even when packaged semi-ironically. So now I wear this all the time, and unlike certain fall scents which don't really work in the summer heat, this one is light and cool enough because of the absinthe component that I get to enjoy Halloween literally whenever I want. skyturtles Report post Posted March 13, 2022 (edited) I loooove this, I just wish it stayed longer!! I adore pumpkin spice, and the addition of the absinthe freshens it and makes it sparkle. I wouldn't call this boozy, but it's definitely yummy. I associate absinthe with a strong licorice-like flavor, but surprisingly that sharpness is absent here. Like I said, I just wish the freshness that pops when it's immediately wet on my skin would linger longer. It fades away, but the scent as a whole lasts a long while after. I have a third of a bottle of this that I purchased, and I'm thinking I need to get my hands on some more... (I have the 2021 edition; please let me know if this review needs to go elsewhere! I couldn't find the proper thread.) Edited March 13, 2022 by skyturtles
