Raspberry Sufganiyot

Sugar-sprinkled sufganiyot filled with sweet raspberry jelly.

 

How? How does the lab do this? I have transformed into the most delicious doughnut, right down to the fluffy exterior and the powdered sugar on top. The star of this is of course the raspberry jam, which is so realistic and rich I keep thinking I'm smelling real food. This one will be getting a lot of wear from me in the colder months. It's such a comfort scent.

I'm loving Raspberry Sufganiyot. On me, I definitely get more of the raspberry jelly than the pastry, but I'm not complaining. This is such a great capture of that gooey, sticky jammy jelly at the heart of a powdered donut! A foody mood-lifter of a perfume, for days when I need a smile or just want to wear my dessert instead of eating it.

To me this smells almost exactly like Gollettes.... it really smells like raspberry jelly donuts, or captain crunch berries.

This dries down to a sweet but not oversweet raspberry jelly with only a little of some kind of pastry. I quite like it, really but my skin eats it right up.

I think I will keep it for now but not sure about the long run.

It starts off realistic tart squished raspberries, but settles into a pure blast of artificial red berry. it reminds of BBW sunripened raspberry. I don't get any bread/cake edge to it. The start is amazing but what it settles into, not so much, but I'll still hold onto my imp.

Ok... WOW!! Might be a little late to the party, but SO glad I got this!! Red fruit notes (cherry, strawberry and raspberry) tend to go plastic-y on me. So, was hoping this one wouldn't...and it is SO WONDERFUL!!

 

In the bottle, get a blast of rich raspberry jelly!! So far so good.

 

On my skin, this stays true! NO PLASTIC! It is just a delicious, sugary raspberry treat!! I don't know what a sufganiot is, but if it smells like this, I would eat them all day! Has great throw and lasting power!! If you are a foody lover and haven't tried this, try to snag some!! Can't stop sniffing my wrist!!

Wet: Sweet, thick raspberry jam.

 

Dry: Some of the sweetness has died off, and some of the dough scent has come out! It's not necessarily reading as a jelly donut to my nose, but it's still something... edible.

 

There were a couple of moments through the dry down where I thought it may turn plastic-y (as raspberry tends to do on my skin), but I think the dough note may have stopped it from going there.

 

I think I prefer Blackcurrant Sufganiyot, but this is still really yum!

So I originally passed on this when it was available, because I was like, "You don't normally even like wearing berry scents, so you don't need this." But then I tried Snake Oil Jelly Doughnut (which lives up to the hype!), and that made me curious about this sufganiyot in particular, as I prefer raspberry over strawberry, blackcurrant, and blueberry.

This is a powder-sugar covered doughnut oozing out huge gobs of raspberry jelly. There's more raspberry jelly than doughnut on me, but the pastry and sugar notes are there.

AND IT SMELLS DELICIOUS. Even the boy, who isn't one that's big on gourmands, thought it smelled wonderful.

 

The scent has great longevity and truly smells like a jelly doughnut. (It made me hungry.)

I will definitely be hanging on to my decant! (And I will try layering it with Snake Oil, too, to see how that goes!)

This has been one of my favorites. Thick raspberry jam and doughy pastry. Can't be beat.

If one could imagine an overly sweet raspberry rhubarb pie? The raspberry jam is so strong I feel like it's been injected into my nose. From only two drops on my wrists! So, so sweet. Like absolutely covered in powdered sugar. I do really like this. I think it being so strong I'd like to blend it with something like King Cake to bring that extreme powdered sweetness down just a notch. This scent is seriously a mood and not one my gothy self is often in 😂

If Blueberry Sufganiyot is blurple, then Raspberry Sufganiyot is a bright magenta. Sweet and tart glossy raspberry gloop, it's sooo good. It reminds me of the raspberry Jell-O salad my mom has made every Thanksgiving as far back as I can remember (yes, I am from the upper midwest, haha).

 

There is a smidge more pastry than Blueberry Suf, and a similar powdered sugar drydown. Unfortunately, it doesn't have the same staying power on me. Even so, I think this is my favorite fruit Sufganiyot. For what it's worth, I find Golletes sweeter and more strawberry-ish.
