kscha2017 Report post Posted December 22, 2016 (edited) A branch of holly on a cold, clear Christmas morning. Fresh. Green. Holly. Chilly and vibrant. This will be beautiful in summer too as doesn't seem to convey "snow" and, of course, isn't a "Christmas tree" pine or spruce scent. I will probably dab this on as a perfume too. Update: happy to note it is long-lasting on me and is still there after a couple washings. Edited January 2, 2017 by kscha2017
puck_nc Report post Posted December 22, 2016 Origin: Straight from the Post Initial Thoughts: I love the Christmas tree/evergreen note, but wasn't sure about having my hair smell like one. In the Bottle: As advertised. Fresh and green and chilly. On Wet Hair: No morph to speak of. Still fresh and green. After Blowdrying: Still not much morph, thought the "chilly" is not as prominent to my nose. Verdict: It's a nice cool green scent, but it also seems to fade in my hair very fast. I couldn't find it after work and usually I can get at least a hint of my hair glosses after work. I'll play with it a bit more before I decide whether to keep it. Numanoid Report post Posted December 30, 2016 Had to try this... always on the hunt for a good holly type scent that doesn't go all over-the-top pine-sol on me! In the bottle - very green and holly! Not forest or garden green, but that holiday wreath/holly green scent. In damp hair - the green part gets pretty sharp at first...but then it quickly mellows, but it is still fresh and "there." The holly part comes out as well and I think this is a perfect balance of green and holly notes. On me, it is strong, but I like how it smells...fresh and green and Christmas-y. If you are worried about green notes, don't worry with this one. Medium throw and very festive.
HerbGirl Report post Posted January 18, 2017 Smells very similar to Mistletoe perfume oil. It smells nice. I think I was hoping for something more, I don't know, green? and am a bit underwhelmed by the fruitiness...
stellamaris Report post Posted January 20, 2017 Lovely and green, just what I wanted
d0gbones Report post Posted January 20, 2017 Fruity and quite sugary, the green is just about detectable if you think about it. I wouldn't use "fresh" or "green" to describe it honestly, but I love it all the same.
Casablanca Report post Posted January 24, 2017 Chilly green wood. Starts spicy-toned, but that fades, and it settles into chilly green wood. Christmassy, but not overwhelmingly so. I feel it would fit in just about anytime except daytime in the depth of summer. Glad to have bottled it.
VetchVesper Report post Posted January 25, 2017 Pretty! I get spearmint and mint with an light aquatic sweetness - so snow and spearmint. The aquatic quality is becoming most prominent on me, but it's not soapy. I think this would pair well with In the Wild North. I could also see this being really nice in the summer when you want something cool and light and more like you just showered with fancy herbal products rather than you are wearing perfume. Leopard403 Report post Posted January 27, 2017 This is a really lovely scent. I don't get much mint, and I definitely don't get "Christmas tree." Rather, I get notes that seem more like eucalyptus than anything else, with a combination of something really green. Very nice.
zankoku_zen Report post Posted April 1, 2017 Fresh, green holly, with a dash of sugar and slushy ice. This to me reminds me to Ice Queen but without the berries. Very Christmasy and festive.
