Uncertain Horror Hair Gloss

Red patchouli, sage leaf, Darjeeling tea, smoke-scarred sandalwood, green tobacco, and oud.

I wasn't around when this was released in perfume form years back, but the reviews motivated me to snag a decant. it's divine! above and beyond my expectations. the heart of everything is a lovely patch/tobacco/sandal, a lil' bit smokey yes but also lightened by the tea and sage. definitely got that "classic bpal" thing going on. I keep running my fingers through my hair just to smell them. lovely and complex and addictive.

I took a chance on this as I'm a lover of most things patchouli and sandalwood, but unfortunately, either due to my hair or because my nose is broken, I'm not getting either from this. Instead, the tobacco and the sage seem to combine into something that leaves me with the impression that I'm smelling a mixture of antifreeze and marijuana fumes at first. When the DH physically recoiled from the lock of hair I tested it on, I went to take a shower right away.

 

I'll rehome this decant - it wasn't meant to be my friend.

Dark tobacco, smoke, patchouli and oud. This one is dark, heavy and chewy. Good throw and wear length.

I received a decant of this with my 2024 Yule decants order from a forumite. I don't have any hair, but I've read of folks using hair gloss as a body spray so I decided to try that! And let me just say, the texture of the hair gloss is so silky and nice. I wondered if it was going to be slightly slick but that feeling goes away as soon as it dries, and it dries quickly.

 

Now, I wasn't sure about this one when I first applied it. I didn't dislike it, but I think thr oud was throwing me off, it's my first experience of it. But a few minutes later and I've adjusted and I'm starting to really love it. And there's so many notes in this that I already like. I don't know if I'm getting patchouli but there's somehing earthy, though some of that might be the oud? I smell a bit of sage, tea and tobacco in the throw, and something a bit smoky. It's all here and it's blended really well and I really love this already. Long throw.

 

Five hours after application and it's still very present. Medium throw. Smokey wood, tobacco, tea. Some of what I think is oud. Still very enjoyable.

 

I wish I could get a full bottle of this or the perfume, but I will settle for wearing my decant and maybe putting the perfume or HG on my DISO xD.
