LizziesLuck Report post Posted January 19, 2017 Cedar, cracked leather, a bent twopence, and pipeweed. This is sprayed on my sleeve, as I already have HG in my hair. The cedar is so warm and earthy, it almost smells like patchouli for a second! No pencil shavings here, thank goodness. Either the leather or the metal is a bit chemical smelling, but not too bad. There's some sweetness from the pipeweed. This is mostly cedar though. It's really nice! Something is giving it an almost spicy feel. It's a very warm, glowing type of wood scent. I expect this will change a bit with age, I usually find that happens with cedar, it calms down after a year or two. I don't wear a ton of woody scents, but this is nice, and I am glad to have it to go with my few woody perfumes, but it's not really me, and I don't foresee wearing it a ton, and I think that was the longest run-on sentence I have ever written, but clearly I can't decide how I feel about this. This is unique - mostly cedar, hints of leather, a sense of warmth, a touch of sweetness. I like it. If you like woody smells, I would recommend this. This scent is not hamster approved, none of those horrid cedar shavings here!
annemathematics Report post Posted January 22, 2017 I just adore the name of this. to be able to smell like a wicked old screw...fantastic! very heavy rich chewy cedar backed with a waft of pipeweed over a dark base (the bent twopence?). I like it, but something in it is a little too much for me to really pull off. I close my eyes and try to imagine who this scent would be perfect for and I picture...a dashing dapper lumberjack. this is the prefect gloss to rub through grizzled lumberjack hair and layer with a splash of sappy evergreen perfume. to be worn throwing darts in a pine-walled tavern drinking a pint after a long day out in the elements. Casablanca Report post Posted January 23, 2017 I love this one. On me it's a coppery-warm and soft, chewy-tobacco cedar. Cedar is the noun and operative word there; it's in charge and the other notes just contribute to its nature. This takes me back to winter vacations in mountain cabins as a kid, when I would lie staring up at exposed wooden beams in the kids' room, too excited to sleep. It gives me the same cozy feeling I get from Bow and Crown of Conquest, so I immediately put that on, too. They go wonderfully together.
zankoku_zen Report post Posted August 28, 2017 Chewy tobacco cedar and leather. It's very masculine to my nose. mr. zee_zee said it smelled nice though. Average throw and wear length.
mandragora369 Report post Posted April 6, 2018 I got an decant from Ajevie of this lovely hair gloss. What can I say - I love it! But i usually love cedar based scents! (I think I will be devastated when my decant gets empty.) This one is really strong in my hair, I smell it all around me! Cedar heaven!
