This leather is swoon worthy. Its the same as the haute macabre hg to my nose, but turned down a 1/2 notch (haute macabre hg was wayyyy too over the top for me). It does have a cologney vibe that comes and goes that I wish wasn't there, but not stopping me from buying a full size! Layered with snake oil hg...BOOM, almost snake skin hg! zankoku_zen Report post Posted January 20, 2018 Cologney black leather and metal. It reminds me of a more black leather version of Torture Queen. For those of you that love the black leather note, this one is a much much softer counter part. But yes, it is the black leather note from DeSade. Good throw and wear length. Roogna Report post Posted November 24, 2019 (edited) I love most of the Lab's leather scents with De Sade and Brom Bones being my favs that being said, this is far too heavy and biting for me. This is BLACK LEATHER which is not either of the above two and the chrome is equally as strong and very "metallic" (as opposed the lab's softer "iron" notes) I can see how some says "cologne" but for me it's one oil slick away from a biker's garage shop in fact, it reminds me of Mutant Hot-Rodders from Hell High (another one I like), but 12 Drummers is still way more leather and metal Edited November 25, 2019 by Roogna Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Numanoid Report post Posted February 9, 2021 Recently got a sample of this....I remember when it came out and seeing the notes I thought this is not for me, BUT, oh my goodness... this is a super awesome scent. The leather is just right. Not too strong and not weak. Not getting chrome spikes, but this is a nice, masculine scent that anyone can wear! If you love leather scents, find this.
