zankoku_zen Report post Posted August 15, 2019 Seaweed-wrapped planks of red oak, white pine, and cedar coated in thick algae, a tangle of hemp rope, cast iron cannons thick with rust, all enveloped in a ghostly gasp of white musk, bergamot, ambrette, and jasmine sambac. zankoku_zen Report post Posted August 21, 2019 Seaweed, cedar planks, touch of metal and a whiff of jasmine. It's a much more salt-encrusted wood. Good throw and wear length.
JMorgynWhite Report post Posted August 31, 2019 Wowza. I'm not sure I love the wet wood of the wet down but the dry has me swooning. The wet down had me worried it was going to be hard wood all through but on my skin the dry is a deep woody musk that has me huffing my wrist.
bookandbroom Report post Posted October 26, 2019 (edited) I expected this to bloom into full aquatic gangbusters on my skin - we do not get along with aquatics, sadly - but instead, it puts me in mind of some of the haunted house scents of years back - a damp wood note that's stronger than the usual oceanic vibes Beth pulls into being. It's damp and soft and slightly metallic, and the ghostly gasp is floating on the surface quite clearly. It's elegiac and oddly lovely.
