The Embodiment of Funeral Gloom

Recommended Posts

A shroud of black agarwood, cypress, myrrh, and upturned earth, scattered with crushed lavender and creeping with moss-smothered stone.

Agarwood just smells like black oudh to me. So this was earth, oudh, and a whiff of moss and stone. In other words, scary black earthy oudh. Potent. Loads of throw and wear length.

I'm loving the dirt & agarwood smell. The lavender is like a final note being sung before disappearing. Has a bit of a spicey note along with the faint myrrh. As it dries the dirtiness mellows & I smell woods. Thanks, BPAL!

I don't like this one at all, as much as I tried to make it work. Sorry, hun. The chilly lavender is first, but quickly dominated by the warmth of the black agarwood. If you like that scent, this is for you. I don't get much else out of this smell-wise. Will swap or sell.

Sadly this has a heavy fecal tone, I assume from the black agarwood, with sweetness from the myrrh. On my skin it settles into something pleasant after a bit, but I'd only recommend this one for folks who already know they love the black agarwood note. I don't get much lavender or moss at all.
